Grace walcott wrote, directed and co-stars in GINGER SNAPS. "Ginger Snaps" premiered in the San Francisco Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, it has played at The Outfest in Los Angeles, and in Amsterdam, Germany, Seattle, Orlando, locally at Oaklands "BlackBox Theater" and on San Jose's Public TV channel KTEH. She is known to Bay Area audiences as an actress, teacher, writer and director. A graduate of Bard College, she has worked with Peggy Shaw and Lois Weaver at the WOW Cafe in New York City. In the bay area, she has performed with the Next Stage's improvisational theater troupe, Walcott's writing and directorial debut for the Stage, "Fall From Grace", was produced by Brava! for Women in the Arts in san Francisco. "Grace Under Pressure," her first Full length piece, premiered at The Lab in San Francisco in April 1990 for a sold out run. In 1991, Walcott premiered her piece "What's Wrong With This Picture" at the Solo Mio Festival, which continued on tour in Vancouver at the Fringe Festival and at Theater/Theater in Los Angeles. In 1995 she premiered "Redressa: Cowgirl of The Open Plains" at Solo Mio festival and played an extended run at "Josies Juice Joint and Cabaret". She has been a principal on "Nash Bridges", done voice overs for Silvester Stallones film "Judge Dredd" and numerous local TV and commercials. Of late, Walcott's talents have been channeled into screen acting and theater directing in the Bay Area, and with performing improvisation.
